Double Graduation at HMP Oakwood
HMP Oakwood recently celebrated two graduations last week for RMF and HAWK Academy students. The event kicked off with some encouraging words from a very proud Sue Jones, Education Manager, followed by Ann Marie Conlon-Taylor, Head of Employer Engagement for OLASS, speaking to the learners about the importance of the Employment Academies with in the prison and the amazing opportunities they open up for them on release.
Offender Learning Celebrates Employment Academy Milestone
Continuing its valuable work within the prison community, the Milton Keynes College Offender Learning team is celebrating an employment academy milestone - the 200th offender learner to be placed into sustainable employment. MK College works with approximately 31,000 offender learners across 28 prisons every year, and as well as providing a wide educational provision, offers a variety of course and training programmes through its prison employment academies.

HMP Winchester Employment Academy Learner, Mark Simpson, Completes Work Placements with Premier Inn
While serving his sentence at HMP Winchester, Mark Simpson participated in the Premier Inn Employment Academy within the prison. Previously running his own car valeting company, Mark was used to being employed, and strived to use his time in custody positively.
